Kate McMahon recognised for her achievement in Fraud in the 2015 “Women in Law Awards” (The Lawyer Monthly)

Edmonds Marshall McMahon’s Kate McMahon has been recognised for her achievements by this year’s Women in Law Awards which aim to celebrate the wide ranging accomplishments of female lawyers worldwide.

These results have been declared after five months of research undertaken by the Lawyer Monthly which considers candidates based on votes from subscribers, reviewing the size of the matters which the lawyer handles, the amount of involvement within cases, peer recognition and personal achievements.

Kate’s award recognises her wide ranging success in the field of private prosecutions in fraud. Her recent notable recent cases include dealing with high profile international ‘boiler room frauds’, acting for individuals in relation to investment frauds, financial crime and perverting the course of justice in high value claims in the commercial court.

Kate’s commitment to a wealth of professional societies including, the Fraud Lawyer’s Association, the Fraud Women’s Network and Fraud Advisory panel was also commended by panellists.

Edmonds Marshall McMahon is the UK’s only and leading private prosecution firm and in 2014, was awarded “Botique Law Firm of the Year- City” at the Lawyer Awards.
